ArtSeed was founded with a clear and compelling vision: to make contemporary art more accessible, transparent, and meaningful—for both emerging artists and new collectors alike.

The idea was born from real conversations—with artists, collectors, founders, and creatives—where a common theme kept coming up: people love art, but the art world can feel closed, opaque, and unnecessarily complicated. Traditional galleries often offer little information upfront, slow communication, and steep markups that leave both buyers and artists frustrated. We saw an opportunity to build something better.

We’re Romy and Jan, and we met during our studies in Spain—Romy with a background in law, and Jan in business with a focus on art. After moving to Berlin, Jan worked in both venture capital and a gallery, while Romy continued her studies. Over time, our shared interest in the art market turned into a hands-on collaboration. We began tracking trends, speaking with artists and collectors, and shaping what would eventually become ArtSeed.

Today, we handle everything as a two-person team—from curation to operations—bringing different strengths and perspectives to the table. What unites us is our commitment to supporting artists and guiding collectors with honesty, care, and clarity.
